We have a new Facebook game! And it may look just a little bit familiar to you…

Strangely familiar...

Challenge Games is pleased to introduce our newest game, Warstorm on Facebook. This new version has all of the great squad vs squad action of the original, packaged in a more accessible interface and a single Flash based application. Facebook is the largest social network in the world and by bringing Warstorm to Facebook, we’re opening up the game to a potential 350 million players world wide, which means more competition and fun for everyone.

This new version of Warstorm is its own stand-alone game, and it is launching with a more focused set of features and content then Warstorm.com. Over the next few weeks we’ll be adding more achievements, card content, and the ability to migrate cards from Warstorm.com to the Facebook version.

We have a new game in the Challenge Games family, and it’s on Facebook! Our sports game team has been hard at work on GridIron Live, the first 3D football game that plays in a web browser, and it just went live. http://apps.facebook.com/gridironlive/ is the address, so check it out!

The Magic: the Gathering Pro Tour is in Austin from October 16 through 18, and we’ve heard there may be some Planetstorm players attending. If you’re in Austin next week, email us at support@planetstorm.com!

Just a small update this morning, but we’ve got a new feature for you: Economy Leagues! This is a new kind of league that costs only 5 Challenge Coins. You don’t get to keep the cards you use in Economy League, but if you’re in the top half of the league at the end, you take home some nice prizes.

We’ve also increased the prizes in our Standard Leagues, so they’re an even better deal than they were before. You get to keep your cards, too!

Welcome to Planetstorm’s next big step forward! We’ve made some big changes while we were down:

Back from Leadership Training

* Novice and Expert sets are replacing the Basic and Core sets! These revised sets fine tune the balance between factions and highlight their characteristic strengths.

* The Reward Points store is open! Now you can spend your hard-earned points on new cards and packs.

* New Abilities! Demolition, Nanoplague, Decay and Ambush will shake up your old squads and provide new ways to win.

* New Achievements! Earn new achievements with league play and set collection.

* A new Campaign Bundle! Meet Aggressor Lorn in a new set of missions and earn the T7 Grey Sludge equipment.

* New Cards! We’ve added about fifty new cards to the Novice and Expert sets, just to shake things up some more.
